Ex-Cop Arrested For Alleged Burglary, Again

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 39-year-old former Minnetonka police officer is accused of burglary for a second time.

Daniel Saba was arrested Oct. 19 for an alleged burglary at a residence on Boulder Point Road in Eden Prairie. Police observed Saba driving around randomly and going up to homes to see if they were open, around 2 p.m.

Officers then saw Saba enter a residence through the front door. He came out shortly later, and was approached by police. Saba attempted to run, but was arrested after a brief foot chase, according to the criminal complaint.

Saba is facing charges of second-degree burglary for the incident, after admitting to stealing vicodin.

Saba has previously served a jail sentence for breaking into homes for perscription pills.
