Hennepin Co. Offers Free, Low-Cost Flu Shots

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Health officials agree that a flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself from getting sick. That's why one county is stepping in to make a healthier community.

Hennepin County Public Health is offering low cost or free flu shots to people without health insurance or those who have insurance that doesn't cover the shot.

They are holding walk-in clinics throughout December. Donations are requested but not required for the immunizations.

Clinics will be held at:

Downtown Minneapolis
Dec. 2, 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Hennepin Health Services Building
525 Portland Ave. S.

Bloomington
Dec. 6 and 20, 3 to 5:30 p.m.
Bloomington Division of Health
1900 W. Old Shakopee Road

Brooklyn Center
Dec. 27, 9 to 11 a.m.
Hennepin County's Brookdale Service Center
6125 Shingle Creek Road
