Another Anonymous $1,000 Donation At Red Kettle

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Salvation Army is reporting yet another anonymous $1,000 donation dropped into one of their ubiquitous red kettles this holiday season.

According to the charity, this marks the seventh time a donation in this amount has been given surreptitiously.

The most recent donation was made at a Cub Foods in Arden Hills.

The donation came in the form of 10 brand new $100 bills. All but the second most recent donation have come in this form.

Among the other sites that have seen $1,000 donations include red kettles in Roseville and Maplewood.

The Salvation Army is still less than halfway toward their goal of raising $11.4 million during their red kettle campaign. People can still donate until Dec. 31 but the red kettles will disappear this Saturday.

People can not only donate at the red kettles, but they can also text "Blessing" to 85944 for a $10 donation which will be added to your cell phone bill.
