Fire Guts Bryn Mawr Neighborhood House

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Crews knocked down a stubborn fire in the Bryn Mawr neighborhood of Minneapolis Friday morning.

The fire all but gutted a home on Thomas Avenue South at about 4 a.m.

The fire damaged every floor pretty extensively, and left a big hole in the roof as well.

Neighbors say the family who lives there is on vacation in Arizona.

No one was hurt. Crews are looking into what started this fire.

One neighbor set up a trust fund for the family, which is renting the house and lacks renter's insurance.

If you would like to help the family, send money to any Wells Fargo bank for the benefit of Tanyia Abel.
