Police: Woman Hit, Killed While Trying To Cross Street

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An elderly woman is dead after a car hit her Friday evening, authorities said.

According to a police tweet, the incident occurred at the intersection of 27th and Park avenues in Minneapolis. The driver was traveling north on Park Avenue when he/she struck a woman crossing the street.

Alcohol did not appear to be involved in the incident, police said.
