W. Michigan Beats St. Cloud St. 2-1 In OT

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Chase Bailey scored 41 seconds into overtime Friday to give Western Michigan a 2-1 win over St. Cloud State and a split of their two-game series.

St. Cloud State won the opener 4-2 with two third-period goals. There was no scoring in the third period this game as the teams combined for just 13 shots.

Matt Tennyson gave eighth-ranked Western Michigan (10-5-5) a 1-0 lead on the power play at 10:45 of the first.

David Eddy tied it for the Huskies (8-10-4) just 1:08 into the second period. That goal also was on the power play.

Ryan Faragher made 27 saves for St. Cloud, but gave up the goal on the Broncos' first shot in overtime.

Nick Pisellini had 22 saves for Western Michigan.
