Vehicle Wedged Under School Bus In Lino Lakes Crash

LINO LAKES (WCCO) -- A person had to be extricated from a jeep after it was involved in a crash involving a school bus and semi tractor-trailer in Lino Lakes, according to police.

The incident happened at 3:29 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Birch Street and Red Birch Court.

When Lino Lakes officers got to the scene, they observed that a jeep was wedged between a school bus and a semi tractor-trailer. The driver of the jeep was extricated from the vehicle and taken by ambulance to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said no students who were on the bus were injured in the accident. Those students were were transported to another bus and eventually taken home. The driver of the semi also wasn't hurt in the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Lino Lakes Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.
