SLP: Crave Chose Not To Serve Alcohol On Super Bowl

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Crave restaurant in St. Louis Park isn't serving alcohol on Super Bowl Sunday.

A manager at Crave who called herself Kim – she didn't give a last name – said the restaurant had a lapse in their liquor license. But St. Louis Park officials paint a slightly different story.

According to Jamie Zwilling, a St. Louis Park authority, Crave chose to serve a one-day liquor license suspension on Super Bowl Sunday.

The restaurant had to serve a suspension after it failed an alcohol compliance check late last year.

That failure was the second in three years, and that carried a fine as well as a one-day liquor ban, Zwilling said.

The St. Louis Park Crave plans to serve alcohol on Monday, Kim said.

The Crave location in downtown Minneapolis was not affected.

WCCO-TV called the restaurant's owner. He did not immediately respond.
