2 Arrested After Chase Ends In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two adults were arrested after three people in a car led authorities on a high speed chase through the Twin Cities metro, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Lt. Eric Roeske said the incident started at about 6:33 a.m. at Highway 36 and Oakgreen Street in Stillwater. Authorities chased the vehicle for about 17 minutes to Interstate 35W and Johnson Street in Minneapolis, where the driver hit a set of stop sticks and was stopped after troopers performed a pit maneuver.

The suspect vehicle, a 2003 Cadillac Deville, reached speeds of up to 8o miles per hour during the chase.

Roeske said two adults, 30-year-old Richard James Campbell Of St. Paul and 32-year-old Cicily Marie Laroque of Minneapolis, were arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail. The 16-year-old boy was taken to the Washington County juvenile facility and later released to a family member. Authorities said Campbell was driving the vehicle during the chase.

Roeske said the chase didn't cause any other crashes and there were no injuries in the incident.

Details on what led up to the chase have not been released at this time and the incident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
