Funeral Planned For Baby Found In Mississippi River

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The unidentified newborn found dead in the Mississippi River last fall will be given a proper burial, according to KAGE Radio.

She was known as baby Angel. The September the baby girl was found on the Mississippi, in a tote bag, just a few miles from Winona. There were four porcelain angel figurines placed with the body.

Members of the County Sherriff's Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers.

Her funeral will be held April 7 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Winona.
