Minneapolis Washburn, DeLaSalle Move To 3A Final

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Class 3A state championship game for Minnesta boys basketball this year will be an all-Minneapolis matchup.

Washburn beat St. Paul Johnson 75-66 and DeLaSalle defeated Grand Rapids 67-44 in the semifinals on Thursday afternoon at Target Center. The title match will take place on Saturday night.

Joseph Doby had 21 points and Jerry Pratt added 17 points for the Millers (29-2), who sealed the game by making eight of 10 free throws in the final 1:18.

Marcus Marshall scored 31 points for the Governors (21-9), who beat the Millers by one point earlier this month in the annual Twin Cities championship game.

Luke Scott scored 20 points and Reid Travis had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Islanders (25-6).

Alex Illikainen led the Thunderhawks (25-6) with 20 points.
