Deputies: Iowa Couple Left Kids (Ages 2, 4) Home Alone
DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) — A Dubuque County couple have been charged with leaving their children, ages 2 and 4, home alone while going out for dinner.
Authorities say 31-year-old Casey Kuhl and his wife, 29-year-old Alesia Kuhl, have left custody.
The pair are charged with misdemeanor child endangerment for an incident Feb. 10.
Investigators say a deputy went to the home on the north side of Dubuque in response to a burglar alarm. The deputy says the 4-year-old boy answered the door; his sister was sleeping on a bedroom floor.
A phone listed for the Kuhls is no longer in service. Their attorney said she couldn't immediately comment on Friday.
