SD Forest Fire Contained; Burns 546 Acres

CUSTER, S.D. (AP) — Officials say the Black Hills National Forest fire in southwest South Dakota has been contained.

The Forest Service says the fire was contained Saturday night, after scorching 546 acres. The agency says no structures were threatened and no injuries have been reported in the Apple Fire, which was started by lightning on Wednesday.

It was the largest wildlife so far this season in the Black Hills.
