2 Injured After Rollover Crash In Pierce County Wis.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two people were hospitalized, including a 6-year-old child, after a rollover crash in Pierce County (Wis.) Sunday morning.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Office responded to a one-vehicle rollover at about 9:09 a.m. near Plum City, Wis. When authorities arrived, they learned a 45-year-old Wisconsin woman driving a 2005 Dodge Caravan had left the road while trying to negotiate a curve. The vehicle then went down a steep ditch and rolled over.

When the Pierce County Sheriff's Office got to the scene, a 6-year-old girl had been removed from the vehicle with minor injuries to her arm. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle as her seatbelt was stuck. She was taken to an Eau Clare, Wis., hospital for injuries sustained in the crash, and her condition is not known at this time.

Authorities say both the woman and child were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
