Plymouth School Bus Crash Leaves 2 Injured

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A car pulled out in front of a school bus in Plymouth Friday morning, causing a crash that injured two, police said.

Young children were on the bus at the time of the crash, but none was injured.

Police and fire crews responded to the crash, which happened just before 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of 57th Avenue North and Vicksburg Lane.

Police said the First Student bus was traveling north on Vicksburg and the car was facing west on 57th Avenue. The car pulled out in front of the bus and the two collided. There was no stop sign signaling the bus to stop at the intersection.

Authorities said the two people in the car suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. Crews transported the injured to a hospital.

After a brief investigation of the bus, it was allowed to drive off.

Police are still investigating the crash. No citations have been issued.
