Winds Topple Barn, Uproot Trees In Milan, Minn.

MILAN, Minn. (WCCO) -- Saturday brought an unexpected cleanup for Gary Andrews after strong winds toppled a two-story barn, tore trees from the ground and mangled a swing set on his son's property.

Fortunately, no one was hurt, and Andrews' son's house sustained no damage.

"Nobody got hurt, that's the main thing," Andrews said.

The storms, which damaged farms in Otter Tail County and Redwood County, scattered debris all over Andrews' son's property. Three grain bins were even flung hundreds of yards from where they usually stand.

The barn that fell held a lifetime of a hobbies and equipment – a truck, a boat, a workshop -- that Andrews shared with his son.

At the time of the storm, Andrews' son was in the metro area with his family. He is now on his way home, ready for some unfortunate spring cleaning.
