ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (AP) — Police believe a 51-year-old man killed his former girlfriend before committing suicide in western Minnesota last week.

The Douglas County sheriff’s office says David Everett of rural Osakis and 38-year-old Sharon Love were breaking up. Everett had moved out but was scheduled to meet Love in the Alexandria apartment they had shared to retrieve some of his things.
