MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 13-year-old cyclist suffered injuries Thursday in Bloomington after his bicycle collided with a car, authorities said.

Deputy Chief Rick Hart, of Bloomington police, said the collision happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of East 90th Street and Portland Avenue. The cyclist was traveling south on Portland Avenue, the car was traveling west on 90th Street.

A 30-year-old woman was driving the car. She stopped after the collision.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to be factors in the case.

The incident is under investigation.
