WCCO-TV 4 News Is #1 At 5 a.m., 6 a.m., Noon, 5 p.m., 6 p.m. And 10 p.m.

Minneapolis/ St. Paul – WCCO 4 News is the most-watched local newscast in total viewers, Monday through Friday at 5 a.m., 6 a.m., 12 noon, 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., according to the May 2012 Nielsen ratings results, it was announced today by Brien Kennedy, WCCO-TV Vice President and General Manager. Breaking down the coveted late night newscast, WCCO 4 News at 10 p.m. has a 44% ratings advantage over its nearest competitor, KARE-TV, in total viewers.

"Looking at the entire 2011-2012 television season from last September through this May, WCCO 4 News has consistently been the news leader week-in and week-out and this is something we're all proud of," said Kennedy. "We're grateful to our viewers who make WCCO-TV their station of choice and we work hard every day, in every newscast to make a connection in a way that is unique and significant to their lives."

Not only is WCCO-TV the local news leader, it's dominating the market once again as the most-watched local television station in total viewers from sign-on to sign-off, seven days a week. Monday through Sunday from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m., WCCO-TV has a 46% ratings advantage over its nearest competitor.

Breaking down Primetime, WCCO-TV is #1 in total viewers, outperforming its nearest competitor, KSTP-TV with a 48% ratings advantage. WCCO-TV delivered 13 of the top 20 shows in Primetime with the #1 Drama, the Mentalist, the #1 Comedy, Big Bang Theory, and the #1 News Magazine show, 60 Minutes.
