Vigil For Minneapolis Murder Victim Is Saturday

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The family of a woman murdered in northeast Minneapolis last week has scheduled a candle light vigil for Saturday.

Antoinette Hawkins was shot to death at about 9 p.m. on May 23 at her home near the area of 26th Avenue Northeast and Stinson Parkway. Her parents are asking for the public's help to find her killer.

The family will host a candle-light vigil at 4 p.m. Saturday outside her home. Hawkins' funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. on June 7 at the Minneapolis Cremation Society. There will be a visitation prior to the funeral, and there will also be a visitation on June 6 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
