12 Soldiers Return Home In Time For Father's Day
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) - A dozen soldiers returned to Minnesota Saturday afternoon after a one-year deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
And nine of the men are fathers, making the timing perfect.
The group partnered with Croatian soldiers in order to train, mentor and advise Afghan soldiers.
Today's reunion took place around 2:15 this afternoon at the Roseville Armory.
In the video above, photojournalist Carly Danek shows that the timing of Saturday's return made the reunion all the more meaningful.
