Water Receding After Cannon River Flood
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Cannon River has fallen 8 feet from its Thursday morning crest, and the Little Cannon River is just inches from being back within its banks, according to the Cannon Falls Police Department.
The Cannon Falls area experienced heavy flooding on Thursday and Friday, spurring voluntary evacuations.
As of Saturday, the extensive damage to city property and the cost to repair it has yet to be determined, police said.
