Fans Flock To St. Paul's Harriet Island For River's Edge Music Fest

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) - Russ Korpela and Patrick Hunt are from Ellsworth, Wisconsin. They made the trip to St. Paul for the big festival.

"I've been down here for Taste of Minnesota so it's nice to see another music festival come to Harriet Island. And we are big fans of Tool, so we came to check it out," said Korpela.

Hunt has a more simple view of the adventure.

"Long as we are out of the house and the office, I'm happy," said Hunt.

There will be more than 30 acts on four stages at the two-day event.

Jon Reens is the marketing director for Live Nation, the event's promoter.

"It's quite the undertaking as you can probably imagine. 30-plus acts. We have Dave Mathews headlining Sunday. Tool headlining Saturday," said Reens.

There will be food, including a Sushi bar, set up on the grounds - although Reens said that's not the event's focus.

Tickets online range from $65 for a One-Day pass, and $110 for a Two-Day pass.
