Armed Robbery At Hill City Bank
AITKIN, Minn. (WCCO) -- Authorities are looking for a man who used a handgun to rob a Hill City bank on Monday afternoon, according to the Aitkin County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office says it was reported at 12:07 p.m. that a lone male with a handgun held up the Woodland Bank and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber then fled northbound on Highway 169 in a blue Chevrolet Cavalier with the Minnesota License Plate XAT113.
The robber is described as a white male, 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-2, wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, tan pants and black shoes. He was wearing white gloves, an American flag bandanna on his face, sunglasses and a black baseball cap with what appeared to be a batman logo within a yellow colored oval. The robber also had brown or reddish collar-length hair, which may have been a wig and had possible facial hair.
The FBI, the Hill City Police Department and the Aitkin County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
