Fines Double For Invasive Species Boating Violations
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Starting Sunday, boaters could get big fines if they don't clean water craft of invasive species.
Fines for having zebra mussels on your boat double to $500.
If you're caught with milfoil, it will now cost $100.
Boaters need to remove all plants, drain all water and leave all drain plugs open while moving their boat from one lake to another.
