Cops: St. Paul Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 50-year-old man is dead and a 59-year-old man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after a late Friday night shooting in the 400 block of East Arlington in St. Paul.

S. Paul police officers were called to the home early Saturday morning on a report of two people who had been shot. The shooting apparently took place inside a home, authorities say.

The 50-year-old homicide victim died at the scene. St. Paul Fire Department paramedics transported the 59-year-old to Regions Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

"We do have some preliminary suspect information, so we do have some stuff to work on, but if anyone has any information, we would certainly invite them to give us a call," said Howie Padilla with the St. Paul Police Department.

No updates are expected before late Sunday afternoon, at the earliest.
