SoundTown 2012 Canceled Due To Low Ticket Sales

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The SoundTown Music and Camping Festival scheduled for July 27-28 in Somerset, Wis. has been canceled, according to its promoters Jam Productions and Somerstar Entertainment.

Organizers say low ticket sales are to blame.

"We would have loved to have SoundTown return to the Somerset Amphitheater this year but unfortunately the ticket threshold wasn't met for a festival of that magnitude," said Somerset Amphitheater General Manager Matt Mithun.

About 50 artists, including Florence + The Machine, Weezer, Jane's Addiction and more, were scheduled to perform on three stages at the event.

Ticket buyers will be issued a full refund for their tickets, camping and service fees.
