Bears Agree To 1-Year Deal With Booker

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears have agreed to a one-year contract with running back Lorenzo Booker.

A third-round draft pick out of Florida State by Miami in 2007, Booker spent the past two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and was used primarily as a kick returner and third running back.

He returned 37 kickoffs for 879 yards during his two seasons with the Vikings. He also had 13 carries for 52 yards in 2011.

Besides agreeing to a deal with Booker, the Bears also released running back Alvester Alexander — an undrafted rookie from Wyoming — on Tuesday.
