Police: Man Found Dead In Itasca Co. Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Speed and alcohol may have been factors in a crash left a 32-year-old man dead Wednesday morning in Itasca County, authorities say.

The Itasca County Sheriff's Office said deputies found Kevin Leroy Foix pinned inside an upside down car shortly after 1:16 a.m. The car was found up against a tree in a ditch off of Laplant Road in Harris Township.

Deputies found Foix dead at the scene.

The Grand Rapids Fire Department helped deputies extract Foix from the car.

Speed and alcohol may have been contributing factors in the crash, said Vic Williams, the Itasca County Sheriff.
