Starkey Gala Brings Big Names To Twin Cities

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Some big names are coming to the Twin Cities this weekend in the name of charity.

The Starkey Foundation's annual gala will be at the St. Paul River Centre Saturday night. It's the 12rth annual "So The World May Hear" Awards Gala. The event brings many big names and celebrities, and among them will be former President Bill Clinton.

The event is a fundraiser that helps provide hearing aids for people in need all over the world. Other celebrities expected to attend include comedians Steve Martin and Billy Crystal, and professional skateboarder Tony Hawk.

Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus is also expected to be among the list of performers. Actress Maria Bello and missionary Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe will also be honored at the event.
