Carlton Co. Train Collision Victim ID'd

EAGLE, Minn. (WCCO) — Authorities have identified the woman killed Wednesday morning when a train collided with a car in Eagle, Minn.

The Carlton County Sheriff's Office said 67-year-old Susan McPhail, of Wright, Minn., died in the incident. Emergency responders found her dead inside a car at the scene, located on the intersection of Birchwood Drive and Highway 210.

A Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight train reportedly struck the car at the East Mud Lake crossing.

The crash is being investigated, but it is being called an accident right now.
