2 Dead In Fiery Head-On Collision In Martell

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people are dead after a two-vehicle head-on collision in Martell Township, Wis.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department said they were notified about the accident around 9:53 p.m. Saturday. The crash occurred on Highway 63 at County Road Y in Wisconsin.

Responding officers found two vehicles fully engulfed in fire, apparently after a head-on collision.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the driver of a 2003 Lincoln Aviator attempted to turn onto County Road Y when it crossed into the path of the second vehicle, a 2003 Ford F-150.

The driver of the Lincoln and a passenger in the Ford were pronounced dead at the scene and the second driver was transported to Red Wing Hospital with undetermined injuries.

The Lincoln driver has been identified as 22-year-old Scott Mikael Kull of Red Wing, Minn.. The second vehicle's driver has been identified as 25-year-old Trent Wentlandt of Bay City, Wis. and the passenger as 30-year-old Traci Lee Nannette Hardy of Red Wing, Minn.

The incident is still under investigation.
