Distracted-Driving Video Game Aims To Teach Teens

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The State Fair is the perfect place to talk about distracted driving.

Whether you're in a golf cart or a car, all of your focus has to be on the road, which is often filled with people.

Now the University of Minnesota hopes a new video game will hit the point home to young drivers. To see how the game works, watch the video above.

"This is an opportunity for teens to learn about distractions and how their driving can become impaired," said Shawn Hagg, who demoed the game at the fair's U of M building. "They learn that and get [to be] better drivers and more attentive to the road."

On Sept. 15, the game will be at Ridgedale Mall in Minnetonka and available to test out again.
