2 Killed In Motorcycle Vs. SUV Crash In East Bethel

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people are dead and a woman is in custody after a crash involving a motorcycle and a SUV in East Bethel, Minn. Authorities say alcohol was involved in the accident.

Around 7:40 p.m. on Sunday, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash on County Road 22 (Viking Boulevard) at Rendova Street.

Upon arrival, authorities found the two occupants of the motorcycle -- a 48-year-old St. Francis man and a 46-year-old woman from Big Lake -- were dead and the driver of the SUV seemed to be intoxicated.

Paula Lynn Larson, 42, of Bethel, Minn. was arrested for possible criminal vehicular homicide. Charges will be considered by the Anoka County Attorney's Office.

Police say according to the accident scene, it appears the motorcycle was braking heavily before colliding with the SUV on its driver's side door.

The identity of the driver and passenger of the motorcycle will not be released until family can be notified.
