Mobile Home Fire Leaves 1 Dead In Stearns County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person was found dead after a mobile home was destroyed by a fire in central Minnesota on Monday morning, according to the Stearn's County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities responded to a report of a fire on the 19000 block of 293rd Avenue in Paynesville. When fire crews arrived, they found a mobile home completely engulfed in flames. After putting the fire out, authorities discovered a body inside the home.

The body was sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. The name of the victim has not been released, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
