A Great Sign: Jablonski Able To Stand With Help
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- There is another encouraging development for paralyzed hockey player Jack Jablonski.
Jabs, as he's known to family and friends, was able to stand for 22 minutes with some help from Courage Center staff.
Occupational therapist Carrie Shogren said the ability to stand is an important achievement for patients like Jablonski.
"To be able to tolerate standing upright for that amount of time and be able to maintain his blood pressure on his own is a significant feat," said Shogren.

His mother, Leslie, also reports on CaringBridge that Jack has been playing beach volleyball with his trainers using his arms to hit the ball.
The Benilde-St Margaret's junior was paralyzed in a hockey accident last December and has made significant progress ever since.
