Police Find Shooting Victim Thanks To Honking Car Horn

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police say they found a man who had been shot inside a car, and were led to the car in the first place because of the blaring car horn.

According to the police report, the 37-year-old man was found on the 2300 block of Washington Avenue North late Saturday evening.

The man, who was not identified in the police report, was sitting in the driver's seat with a gunshot in the lower torso. There was dried blood on his clothing.

He said he had been shot the previous evening outside a party. He said he heard a gunshot and realized he'd been struck.

He said he waited to notify anyone because he had been drinking the night before.

He was taken to the hospital. Police said they currently have no information on a possible suspect.
