Lunds And Byerly's Issues Voluntary Chicken Recall

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Lunds and Byerly's has issued a voluntary recall of a recent supply of chicken after a possible food safety issue involving Listeria Monocytogenes was found in select varieties of marinated chicken breasts, chicken kabobs and chicken meal kits.

The grocer has removed these items until the potential issue is resolved, saying there has been no reported or known illnesses related to the consumption of these products so far.

If customers purchased any of these chicken products since Sept. 14, 2012, they are urged to return them to any Lunds or Byerly's for a full refund – receipt not required.

No other varieties of chicken are affected by this recall, the grocer says.
