$4,000 Reward Offered In Orono Squad Car Arson

ORONO, Minn. (WCCO) -- Authorities are offering a $4,000 reward to help figure out who set two police squad cars on fire in Orono, Minn.

Police say an officer pulled into the Orono Police Department on Sept. 14 to find two squad cars fully engulfed in flames.

The cars were extinguished by Long Lake Fire Department crews, and sustained major damage. The squads had extensive video, computer, radio and first aid equipment, in addition to rifles and other items used by officers.

Another squad car also sustained minor damage.

Accelerant was found near the scene.
