Sex Offender From Waterville Turns Himself In

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Level III sex offender who was on supervised release in southern Minnesota and had clipped off a GPS ankle bracelet is back in police custody, according to authorities.

Police say George D. McIntosh Jr. turned himself in and was taken into custody early Thursday morning by law enforcement. McIntosh was booked into the Le Sueur County Jail on charges of violation of predatory offender registration statutes.

McIntosh Jr. had been living in Waterville since being released from prison on Aug. 30 after serving time for a pair of third-degree criminal sexual conduct convictions. He was put on Intensive Supervised Release in Le Sueur County.

Authorities say he cut off his ankle bracelet, prompting authorities to start a search for him.
