1 Vote Separates Candidates In MN District 8B
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (WCCO) -- In a state that saw a number of extremely close races, none could've been closer than Minnesota's Legislative District 8B.
With more than 21,000 ballots cast, only one vote currently separates a Republican Minnesota House incumbent from her Democratic challenger.
According to the final results from the Minnesota Secretary of State's website, Rep. Mary Franson leads challenger Bob Cunniff by a tally of 10,652 votes to 10,651.
That margin puts Franson at 49.96 percent against Cunniff's 49.95.
There were 19 write-in votes in Minnesota District 8B, which represents parts of Douglas and Otter Tail counties.
Alexandria is included in that district.
