SHAKOPEE, Minn. (WCCO) -- The big Minneapolis Kennel Club Dog Show is this weekend, and along with all the dogs on display young handlers will be competing as well.

Chris Stanford reported live from Adogo Dog Hotel in Minnetonka Friday morning, and talked with Josie Scoonover, a 12-year-old junior handler who participates in conformation, obedience, and agility competitions.

Stanford also talked with show chair Ralph Hogancamp, who started showing dogs in 1968.

The Minneapolis Kennel Club Dog Show is this weekend at Canterbury Park in Shakopee. It runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults; children 12 and under get in free.
