Holidazzle Parade Starts Tonight In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One of the most popular winter attractions of the holiday season is starting Friday night in downtown Minneapolis.

The annual Hollidazzle parade, sponsored for the fifth straight year by Target, goes down Nicollet Mall and begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday. It will run every Thursday-Sunday through the holiday season until Christmas.

Target's Mascot "Bullseye" will be the grand marshal for the opening night of the parade. The Holidazzle parade is in its 20th year, and there are some new attractions this year. There will be two new floats in this year's parade, including a choir float that will showcase some of the top choirs around the Twin Cities. Target will have its own choir on opening night in the parade.

There's also a new float for the grand marshal, which "Bullseye" will debut Friday night. The Holidazzle will run a weekend longer this year due to Thanksgiving coming earlier than normal.

WCCO-TV Channel 4 will host the first night of the Holidazzle live, starting right after our 6 p.m. news with Frank Vascellaro and Amelia Santaniello.
