Check Out The Trains At Bandana Square In St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- The whole family can check out trains together this holiday season.

It's at the Twin City Model Railroad Museum at Bandana Square in St. Paul.

From elaborate displays, to Thomas the Tank engine, children of all ages are spellbound by the throttles, lights and sounds.

And on Saturday tonight, the lights will go dark.

"We turn down the lights, so it has a magical effect, and it's a whole different experience than during the day," Chad Kono said.

It even includes a visit from Santa.

Between the buzz of the trains and the electricity of the children who watch, is hope that a new generation will leave with the tracks laid to a new passion.

"It's heartwarming to see kids still love this hobby," Kono said.

They do have group rate discounts.
