diagram for nov 28 2012 Conjunction Between Full Moon And Jupiter

(credit: Mike Lynch/CBS)

Tonight they’ll be a lovely celestial conjunction — or what I like to call a celestial hugging — between the full moon and the bright planet Jupiter.

In the eastern evening sky, Jupiter will be just to upper left of the moon.

It’ll be a gorgeous sight.

By the way, a little above the moon with be the bright Pleiades star cluster.
