MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and Mall of America are teaming up to donate 1,812 toys to the Salvation Army during the holiday season.
The number of toys equal the current rushing yardage Peterson’s total, and will increase at the completion of the regular season to reflect his final total rushing yardage.
Peterson is just 294 yards away from breaking the NFL’s single-season record set by Eric Dickerson in 1984 with 2,105 yards.
