Hennepin Co. Arrests Fugitive On Most Wanted List

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A tip from a citizen has led to the arrest of a suspect who was on Hennepin County's list of the top 10 most wanted fugitives.

The county sheriff's office announced that 37-year-old Julian Alcaide Lopez was arrested by the Minnesota Fugitive Task Force on Tuesday.

Lopez was wanted for criminal sexual conduct. He is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Bloomington in 2010, according to the sheriff's office. He has been on the county's most wanted list for the last two years.

He is currently being held at Hennepin County Jail on $100,000 bond.

The arrest comes five days after the sheriff's office launched new ways to provide anonymous tips to authorities, including texts, smart phone apps or filling out an online form.
