Izzy's Ice Cream Pulls Products After Glass Found In Cinnamon

ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- Izzy's Ice Cream is withdrawing three of its flavors after glass fragments were found in a supplier's container of cinnamon.

The company said the cinnamon was purchased by Izzy's from a third party and is used in three flavors of the ice cream. Izzy's said they have not received any customer complaints and has not found any evidence of the glass in its products.

Still, they said they want to ensure everyone's safety, after the glass was found in the cinnamon package.

The three flavors involved in this withdrawal are soy, non-dairy pumpkin, pumpkin and cinnamon ice cream. The Izzy's ice cream was sold between Nov. 7 and Dec. 31 in the Minneapolis-St. Paul region at grocery stores, restaurants and Izzy's Ice Cream Cafe.

The lots effected begin with 1211 or 1212; no other lot numbers in the above flavors are impacted by this voluntary withdrawal.

Customers with ice cream involved in this voluntary withdrawal may discard it, return it to the store of purchase for a refund, or return it to Izzy's Ice Cream Cafe for a refund.

If you have questions or concerns, you should contact Izzy's at 651-603-5081.
