N. Michigan Beats St. Cloud St. 6-2

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Matt Thurber had a goal and two assists to help Northern Michigan beat St. Cloud State 6-2 on Friday in men's college hockey.

Northern Michigan scored the last four goals of the game. Thurber's goal at 1:10 was the first of three in the final period for the Wildcats (7-10-3), who are 5-1 against Western Collegiate Hockey Association teams.

C.J. Ludwig and Reed Seckel had a goal and assist apiece for Northern Michigan.

Cory Thorson and Ben Hanowski scored for St. Cloud State (12-9-0). Ludwig's goal at 13:46 of the second period tied the game at 2-2.

The WCHA-leading Huskies have won four of their last six games.

Jared Coreau had 21 saves for Northern Michigan, and Rasmus Reijola made 20 saves for St. Cloud State.
