Vikings' Ponder, Steele Plan Another Wedding In April
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It'll be another wedding for Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder and ESPN reporter Samantha Steele -- this time in April and before friends and family.
The happy couple made the announcement on a Sports Illustrated podcast, playfully bickering as they recounted Ponder's marriage proposal, which he created out of Christmas lights on his deck.
"I used Christmas lights and I didn't even use a question mark. It was a statement. She had no options," Ponder said, jokingly.
"I still don't know if I technically accepted a proposal, because I don't remember any question ever," added Steele.
Ponder and Steele got married last month in Hudson in a civil ceremony before a judge. For the record, Steele says she's not pregnant.
The wedding will be held in Steele's hometown of Phoenix.
